In 2010, Peter Tuft started a blog “Pipelines Oz – Observations on Australian pipeline engineering” – pipelinesoz.wordpress.com.  For 4 years, he made consistently interesting observations and posts on that blog, and the pipeline community participated with equally interesting comments and discussions.

In March 2016, Peter effectively ‘closed’ his blog, admitting that his inspiration had waned, he was too close to the Part 1 review underway at the time, and, frankly, he was looking towards retirement.

It has been mentioned enough times since, that it became apparent that we should try to re-invigorate the blog-based discussions.  And so here we are.

This blog’s tagline is revamped a bit to be “Observations for Australian pipeliners”.  One thing that came out of recent conversations is that 1) many great pipeliners aren’t engineers and 2) pipeliners would like information and resources on engineering as well as other topics.
